The Next Steps
Congratulations on your acceptance to The Belanger School of Nursing at Ellis Medicine. Now that you've been accepted, here are a few steps to make it official.
Step One: Secure your spot - let's make it official!
Complete the acceptance information and make your deposit through Campus Cafe. You’ll need your username and password to access the student information portal. You received this via email in your acceptance letter. If you can’t find it, no problem, reach out to Caitlyn Poole or call 518-243-1582.
Deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the Fall semester tuition.
Deposit Payments for Early Decision & Instant Admission are due by February 13th, 2026 by 4pm.
Online Deposit Payment Instructions - Please be sure to confirm your Social Security Number when completing the deposit form.
Step Two: Mark your calendar - let's celebrate you!
On April 28th from 6:30-8:00 pm there will be a mandatory in-person information session, Nursing School Kickoff at the Belanger School of Nursing. We will be detailing your online onboarding course, introducing our Learning Management System, and answering any questions you may have.
Step Three: Financial Aid - make it make cents!
If you haven’t done so already, submit your 2026-27 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using 2024 income information to apply for federal grants and loans. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online at www.studentaid.gov.

Please note that it will be your responsibility to purchase all of your books at the beginning of the semester. Even though book costs are considered for financial aid purposes, money is generally not available to cover immediate costs such as books and uniforms.

Schenectady Business & Professional Women's Club, Catherine Raycroft Memorial Scholarship
The Catherine Raycroft Memorial Scholarship is a fantastic opportunity for women over 25 in Schenectady County who are returning to their studies to pursue a rewarding career in nursing. This scholarship honors a woman who was a tireless advocate for human rights and community health, making it a perfect match for those dedicated to the healing profession.

Step Five: Get your ducks in a row - before school starts!
We can't wait to welcome you as an official student. To ensure your success, make sure your laptop meets our Minimum System Requirements.
All students are automatically enrolled in two preparation courses that will prepare you for success. Your credentials will be emailed to you in April. If you need help, reach out to Caitlyn Poole or call 518-243-1582.
All onboarding tasks in the preparations course must be complete by your orientation day.

You will receive notice in July of which day you are assigned.
