A letter to our valued CareNet Patients

Friday, September 25, 2026

From Drs. Cheon Schingo, Moon, Campito and Tsao

Over the past several weeks, many of you have heard the news that CareNet Medical Group has joined Ellis Medicine and Bellevue Woman’s Center and is now practicing as Ellis CareNet Ob/GYN.

For those who may have not seen our previous communications, we wanted to take a moment to explain what this means and speak directly to you about the transition.

First and foremost, thank you.

For more than four decades, it has been our privilege to care for women and families throughout the Capital Region. Many of you have trusted us with some of life’s most important moments. We are deeply grateful for that trust and honored to continue.

Joining Ellis and Bellevue is a natural step in a relationship that goes back years. Our physicians have long cared for patients at Bellevue and worked closely with the Ellis team. This transition allows us to more fully integrate our care with the broader Ellis and Bellevue teams, giving us access to additional resources, improved coordination and new opportunities to enhance the services we provide.

SOME CHALLENGES WE’RE ADDRESSING

We know some of you have experienced frustrations during our first few weeks. As part of the transition, we have implemented new electronic medical records, scheduling, billing and coding systems. While these changes are important to create a more connected and coordinated experience over the long term, the process has been more challenging than we anticipated. As we learn new workflows and document care in a new system, routine tasks are taking longer than usual. In some cases, appointments have needed to be rescheduled, phone wait times have increased, and patients have encountered delays.

Quite simply, we’re sorry for any inconvenience and frustration this has caused some of you.

Our entire team is dedicating each day to improve the experience. We are making progress, resolving issues as they arise, and becoming more efficient with the new systems. While there is still work to do, we are confident these challenges are temporary and that operations will continue to improve each day.

We appreciate the patience and understanding so many of you have shown. Your support means a great deal.

Most importantly, our commitment to you has not changed. The same physicians and staff you know and trust remain here, focused on delivering the high-quality, compassionate care that has always been the foundation of our practice.

Thank you for staying with us during this transition. We look forward to continuing to care for you and your family for many years to come.

With gratitude,

The Physicians of Ellis CareNet Ob/GYN

Dr. Hee-Joo Cheon Schingo
Dr. Esther Moon
Dr. Emily Campito
Dr. Beatrice Tsao

Look at what else is new

Welcoming a new physician! Dr. Kimberly Thill has joined the practice, bringing additional expertise and capacity to our growing women’s health program. A graduate of Albany Medical College, Dr. Thill completed her residency at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in Queens, and is now seeing patients. Her recruitment is one of several steps Ellis is taking to strengthen access to women’s healthcare services across the region.

New practice locations: To better integrate care with our Ellis colleagues and improve coordination between outpatient and hospital-based services, our practices have relocated nearby to new locations in Niskayuna and Clifton Park. While our addresses have changed, our commitment to serving our patients remains the same.

Our new locations

Bellevue Woman’s Center
2210 Troy-Schenectady Road
Niskayuna, NY 12309

Ellis Medicine Medical Center of Clifton Park
103 Sitterly Road, Suite 2400
Clifton Park, NY 12065

Our phone and fax numbers remain the same:

Fax: 518.381.3930

Expanding women’s healthcare at Bellevue: The news at CareNet is one of several recent investments Ellis and Bellevue have made in women’s health to further enhance access to care. Ellis and Bellevue have announced plans to open a new midwifery practice at Bellevue that’s expected to open in early 2027. Also, Bellevue has reopened walk-in blood draw and laboratory services on the Niskayuna campus.

Patient Portal Transition: As part of this transition, the previous CareNet FollowMyHealth patient portal is no longer available for communication with our office. Patients may continue to access the portal to view past records, but it should not be used for communications with the team.

We encourage all of you to enroll in the Ellis patient portal, which provides similar and secure access to your health information. To learn more or sign up, please visit: ellismedicine.org/portal/
