Steve Wright, a graduate of the Ellis SON, is the Director of Ellis
Hospital's Cardiology Program. He began working at Ellis in 1999 as a
registered nurse on a clinical unit at Ellis. Prior to assuming his
current position, he also served as Assistant Nurse Manager of the
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and then ICU Nurse Manager.
His leadership skills have been an asset to Ellis throughout his career
at the hospital, and he attributes much of his success to the good
education and training he received at the Ellis Hospital School of
Nursing.
"Ellis' nursing school program provides students with the academic
foundation for their careers, as well as exceptional clinical
experience. Through my training on the units at Ellis Hospital, I
learned so much about the nursing profession, the complexities of the
field and, of course, the humanity that comes with caring for patients.
I felt very well prepared when I graduated."
