Musculoskeletal oncology is the care of primary bone and soft tissues tumors,
both benign and malignant, and also those afflicted with metastatic bone
disease.
Dr. Matthew R. DiCaprio, working with a team of oncologists, pathologists,
radiologists and surgeons at Ellis Medicine, treats sacromas and other rare
tumors in the musculoskeletal system that typically occur in children or young
adults. This treatment includes:
- Any bone or soft tissue lesions in the musculoskeletal system
- All ages: infants through geriatrics
- All types of tumors - benign, malignant, and metastatic
Office visits for new tumor evaluation within 2-3 office days

- Special techniques utilized - Limb salvage, Prophylactic fixation of
impending bone lesions, Radiofrequency ablation, Argon beam coagulation for
benign bone tumors
