Donald
J. McLaughlin, Jr. has over 30 years of leadership
experience in facilities planning, engineering,
construction, maintenance and operations. He brings to
the executive team sound technical expertise and a
proven track record of collaborative accomplishments
under his leadership. Ellis new $17 million ICU and
renovations and installs of the Cardiac Catheterization
Lab and 64 Slice CT Scanner are a testament to Dons
problem solving and organizational skills and his
ability to foster teamwork across departments to produce
positive results.
Before joining the Ellis team in 2004 as Division Director, Don
held senior and executive facilities management positions with St
Peters Hospital in Albany. He also served in diverse positions
during 12 years of service with the U.S. Navy Civil Engineer Corps
performing construction management, contract administration, public
works and facilities acquisition in various locations throughout the
world. Don attained the rank of Lieutenant Commander.
Don holds both a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a
Masters in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
He is a registered professional engineer and member of the American
Society of Hospital Engineers (ASHE).
