David
M. Liebers joined Ellis Medicine as an infectious
disease specialist in 1987 and was appointed vice chief
of staff at Ellis in 2004.
Dr. Liebers earned his medical degree from the University of
Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester , and his
bachelor's degree, with honors, from Hamilton College in Clinton ,
NY . He completed his internship and residency at Mercy Hospital in
Pittsburgh , PA , and a fellowship in Infectious Diseases at Albany
Medical College.
In addition to his work at Ellis, Dr. Liebers has been a clinical
assistant professor of Medicine at Albany Medical Center since 2000.
He holds membership in numerous medical organizations including the
Schenectady County Medical Society, the New York State Medical
Society, the American Society of Microbiology, the New York State
Society-Internal Medicine, the Infectious Diseases Society of
America and the American Society of Internal Medicine.
