Robert Murray, Treasurer

Robert Murray has been serving on the Ellis Medicine Board of Trustees since 2003 and currently serves as treasurer.

As a native son of Schenectady, Mr. Murray has donated much of his time to community organizations. He is a former board member of the Schenectady County Chamber of Commerce, he served two terms on the Board of Directors at the Mohawk Golf Club, and serves on the Board of Fire Commissioners, Niskayuna District 1, an elected position he has held since 1988.

Mr. Murray is the owner and president of the R.J. Murray Co., Inc., a privately held wholesale distributor of heating and air conditioning products. Founded in the mid 1920s by his grandfather, Richard Murray, Sr., the R. J. Murray Co. is the oldest distributor of Carrier products in the world.

Mr. Murray was born and raised in Schenectady, NY. He graduated from Niskayuna High School in 1975 and studied Business Administration at the State University of New York Canton, Canton, NY.
