Dr. Quintin B. Bullock
Dr.
Quintin B. Bullock joined the Ellis Medicine Board of
Trustees in June 2010.
Dr. Bullock is the sixth President of Schenectady County
Community College in Schenectady, NY. His career has
advanced from an urban high school science teacher, a
clinical professional, a community college educator,
C/STEP program director, Executive Dean, two Provost
positions, and now a community college President.
Under his stewardship he has developed new partnerships
with local business and industry, launched new
partnerships and collaboration between the community
college and public schools; launched and expanded dual
enrollment program offerings with local high schools;
successfully secured state, federal, and private grant
dollars; and led planning and development of new capital
projects. Dr. Bullock is a proven and results-oriented
executive recognized for his exemplary leadership and
being an ambassador for students, faculty,
administrators and the community in which he proudly
serves.
A longtime educator, Dr. Bullock has amassed a
successful teaching record and has taught as an adjunct
professor at Houston Community College in Houston,
Texas, Monroe Community College in Rochester, New York,
and Tidewater Community College and the Graduate School
of Education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk,
Virginia.
He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the
University of Texas Health Science Center: Dental Branch
in Houston, Texas, and he earned a Master of Education
and a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med from Prairie View
A&M University in Prairie View, Texas. In addition, he
completed post-doctoral work at the Eastman Dental
Center and the University of Rochester School of
Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York.
Dr. Bullock's leadership training includes the Executive
Leadership Institute sponsored by the League for
Innovation in the Community College System, the Lakin
Institute, the American Association for Community
Colleges Future Leaders Program, the Wharton/IRHE
Program in Higher Education, the Commonwealth of
Virginia Lead Virginia Program, and the Harvard Seminar
for New Presidents.
Finally, Dr. Bullock is the recipient of numerous
distinguished awards and is very active in college and
community contexts.
