    Dawn Dluge-Aungst, RPA-C, CDE -  Physician Assistant

    Dawn is a physician assistant with Ellis Endocrine & Diabetes Care in Clifton Park, NY. Dawn graduated from Lycoming College (Williamsport, PA) in 1996 and Pennsylvania College of Technology (an affiliate of Penn State) in 1999. Dawn has been a physician assistant for 15 years with specialization in diabetes and endocrinology and has worked locally in that capacity since moving from Pennsylvania in 2001. She is a co-author of “Professional CGM Management Workflow” published in Endocrine Today in 2011. Special areas of interest include intensive management of diabetes, pump and sensor technology, and diabetes in pregnancy. She is a member of the American Diabetes Association and Endocrine Society.

    Katie is a nurse practitioner with Ellis Endocrine & Diabetes Care in Schenectady, NY.

    Katie earned her Master's Degree from SUNY IT, Utica, NY and her Bachelor's from Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA. She is a member of the Nurse Practitioner Association, American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators and Endocrine Society. Katie is also a Certified Diabetes Educator.

    Deb Avery  - RD, CDN

    Debbie Avery, RD, CDN is a Registered Dietitian, NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from the College at Buffalo. She has also completed additional graduate level courses and extensive continuing education activities. She has been providing nutrition counseling for more than 30 years. Her work experiences have included providing acute nutrition care to hospitalized patients and health maintenance/ chronic disease nutrition care in outpatient settings including Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation, Physician’s Office, Outpatient Nutrition Office and the home setting. Many years have been focused on helping individuals manage their nutrition needs to optimize their health.

    Erin Gorrell  - MS, RD, CDE

    Erin is a Registered Dietitian and NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Science in Dietetics from D’Youville College. Erin has worked as an inpatient dietitian since 2015 providing individualized nutrition care in acute and critical care settings. With a strong interest in diabetes prevention, education and management, Erin recently attained accreditation as a Certified Diabetes Educator.

    Shannon is a certified diabetes educator with Ellis Endocrine & Diabetes Care in Clifton Park, NY. She has more than 15 years of dietetic experience and is certified by the American Dietetic Association in Adult Weight Management. Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT and completed a dietetic internship at Saint Joseph College, West Hartford, CT. She is the winner of the 2001 New Hampshire Dietetic Association Young Dietitian of the Year. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators and Hudson Valley Dietetic Association.

    Ashley Wilson, RD, CDE  - Clinical Coordinator

    Ashley is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator for the Ellis Diabetes Education and Outpatient Nutrition Services. She has over 10 years of experience in providing medical nutrition therapy for various disease states and chronic illness, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition, Ashley has a certificate in Weight Management training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is Lifestyle coach for PreventT2 (Diabetes Prevention Program). Ashley earned her Bachelor’s in nutritional sciences from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY and completed a dietetic internship with the University of Delaware, Wilmington, DE. She is a member of American Diabetes Association and American Association of Diabetes Educators.
