  • Kim Dunn, RD, CDE

    Kim Dunn, RD, CDE  - Diabetes Educator

    Kim received her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition Science from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY. She began working for Ellis Medicine in 2005, and received her credential for Registered Dietitian in 2008. During her time with Ellis, she has worked to educate patients in both the inpatient and outpatient areas. In 2015, she transitioned from inpatient to the outpatient arena working with Ellis Diabetes Education and Outpatient Nutrition Services. In 2016, she became a Certified Diabetes Educator. In 2018, she also became a lifestyle coach for PreventT2 (Diabetes Prevention Program). In her role as a diabetes educator, she is able to help patients get the tools they need to better manage their diabetes. She is well versed in glucometer instruction, insulin pump teaching and continuous glucose monitoring systems. Kim also specializes in working with patients with chronic kidney disease requiring hemodialysis treatment.

  • Erin Gorrell

    Erin Gorrell  - MS, RD, CDE

    Erin is a Registered Dietitian and NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo and a Master of Science in Dietetics from D’Youville College. Erin has worked as an inpatient dietitian since 2015 providing individualized nutrition care in acute and critical care settings. With a strong interest in diabetes prevention, education and management, Erin recently attained accreditation as a Certified Diabetes Educator.

  • Shannon Klingebiel

    Shannon Klingebiel  - Dietitian and Diabetes Educator

    Shannon is a certified diabetes educator with Ellis Endocrine & Diabetes Care in Clifton Park, NY. She has more than 15 years of dietetic experience and is certified by the American Dietetic Association in Adult Weight Management. Shannon earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Vermont, Burlington, VT and completed a dietetic internship at Saint Joseph College, West Hartford, CT. She is the winner of the 2001 New Hampshire Dietetic Association Young Dietitian of the Year. She is a member of the American Dietetic Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators and Hudson Valley Dietetic Association.

    Joelle Malinowski, RD, CDN, CDE  - Diabetes Educator

    Joelle Malinowski is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. Joelle obtained her Undergraduate degree at State University of New York College at Oneonta and completed her Dietetic Internship with North Shore LIJ- University Hospital. Joelle is a person who finds joy creating a positive environment to facilitate healing and promoting positive change. She has a passion for connecting with the community and providing education to promote wellness that any person can get on board with. Joelle is also the Media Spokesperson for the New York State Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics in the Albany/Hudson Valley area.

  • Ashley Wilson, RD, CDE

    Ashley Wilson, RD, CDE  - Clinical Coordinator

    Ashley is a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator for the Ellis Diabetes Education and Outpatient Nutrition Services. She has over 10 years of experience in providing medical nutrition therapy for various disease states and chronic illness, in both outpatient and inpatient settings. In addition, Ashley has a certificate in Weight Management training from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and is Lifestyle coach for PreventT2 (Diabetes Prevention Program). Ashley earned her Bachelor’s in nutritional sciences from Russell Sage College, Troy, NY and completed a dietetic internship with the University of Delaware, Wilmington, DE. She is a member of American Diabetes Association and American Association of Diabetes Educators.
