    Susan Trocciola, MD, FACS is certified by both the American Board of Thoracic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. She attended medical school at New York Medical College (Valhalla, NY) and did her internship and residency in General Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital- Cornell (New York, NY). Dr. Trocciola completed two fellowships. Her first fellowship was at New York University- Langone Medical Center (New York, NY) in Cardiothoracic surgery. She then went to Texas Heart Institute/Baylor University (Houston, Texas) for additional training in Aortic and Endovascular Surgery.

    Dr. Trocciola was born in Glastonbury, CT, but has family roots in both Brooklyn, New York and Syracuse, New York going back to the 1800's. In her free time Dr. Trocciola enjoys gardening, volunteer work, travel and spending time with her many nieces and nephews. She recently decided to learn to play the Djembe drums, after a recent trip to Cape Town, South Africa.
