2012 Winter Gala Reaches $1 Million Milestone
More than 350 guests attended The Foundation for Ellis Medicine's annual fundraiser at the Glen Sanders Mansion in Scotia.
The 2012 Winter Gala honored Iftikhar Syed, MD and his wife, Anne Marie Syed.
Dr. Syed has improved the lives of thousands of area residents over the past 30 years as a leading surgeon. As Chief of Surgery at Ellis since 1995, Dr. Syed is known for his dedication to quality and innovation in general surgery, advanced laparoscopic and breast surgery and has been an advocate for the new robotic technology now offered at Ellis.
The Winter Gala raised more than $100,000 to support Ellis Medicine’s many services and programs. In all, the Gala has raised $1 million since 2004 to benefit the hospital and the community it serves.
With fabulous dining, a fantastic dance band, old and new friends, colleagues and supporters, it was a magical evening, one long to remember.
