Saved Greg's Life
Greg Petrask, 52, of Burnt Hills was at work at GE in Schenectady when
he realized something wasn't right. Pain in his arm was spreading
through his chest and wasn't going away. He had attributed the
discomfort, which had come and gone over the past couple of days, to
sore muscles after a recent workout. He called his wife, Jody, on his
lunch break and she insisted he get medical attention.
The ambulance was called. An EKG showed signs of a heart attack and was
electronically sent to Ellis Hospital, setting the Cardiac Team into
motion.
Jody arrived at Ellis from her nearby job and caught a glimpse of Greg
being wheeled into the emergency room on a stretcher. "They shot right
through. I don't think the automatic doors even got open. He flew by so
fast."
